Moruga Red Monster

The Moruga Red Monster was likely hybridized from the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion who's origin is from South America. It is unclear as to who or where this hybridization took place but it probably gets its heat from the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion and its wild gnarly from a single cross of some other unknown variety.  If you can get past the heat, the pods of this insanely hot chile have a very fruity and flowery taste. This is not the hottest chile pepper on the planet but it certainly belongs in the same category.
